Bon Dia, welcome to Villa Grandi!
Villa Grandi is a small-scale luxury vacation resort located in artistic and colorful Otrobanda, a historic district of Willemstad on the west side of St. Anna Bay. Just a five-minute walk from the bustling city center with its restaurants and stores, Villa Grandi offers a serene spot in the midst of the lively city. The iconic Pontjesbrug, the world’s only wooden floating swing bridge, connects Otrobanda to Punda, Willemstad’s other historic district.
At the center of our resort is a monumental, hundred-year-old city villa. This beautiful villa, which we have restored with care and respect for the past, is the heart of Villa Grandi. In addition, we have expanded the resort with two contemporary, detached villas – Villas Awa and Blenchi – situated around a central saltwater pool. Each villa offers a private terrace and the comforts you would expect for an unforgettable stay.
At Villa Grandi, you can easily park on private property, protected within the walls of the resort and under a shaded carport. Through the automatic rolling gate, which you can easily operate yourself, you enter an oasis of calm in bustling Otrobanda.
We, Arnaud (1966) and Mariëlle (1970), are the proud owners of this historic city villa and its resort. Our love for Curaçao arose when Arnaud started working here at the University of Curaçao. During our visits to the island, we became increasingly impressed with its charm, culture, rich past and natural beauty. The desire for our own place on Curaçao grew, and driven by our passion for history, monuments and design, we created this unique resort, where past and modern comfort come together harmoniously.
